Membership and Training

We welcome those new to agility (both dogs and handlers!) and try to have at least one beginners/puppy class a year - with the aim of progressing all dogs to a competitive level. We also welcome experienced handlers and dogs.

As a main aim members work towards competition standard and attend agility shows. Members also need to be keen to help with club activities and events, including the annual Championship Show held in June and reciprocal ring parties held throughout the year.

Application to train can be made by completing the application form.

New handlers need to complete an probationary period. This period is an opportunity to introduce you to the basics of agility training and assess how you and your dog take to this activity.

At the end of this period the Committee will review your progress and you may be offered Associate Membership. There is a joining fee of £10 payable on acceptance of Associate Membership.

Training fees are then £9.00 for each session and this is payable in advance in 10 week blocks.

Associate Members who show commitment to Axstane Agility Club and agility as a whole may be invited by the Committee to become Full Members with training fees at a reduced rate.

Training takes place on Thursday evenings.
